Basic Tax Tables Remain the Same for 2016

It’s the end of the year, and you know what that means. Soon HR and accounting departments across the nation will be gearing up to send off W2 forms and studying the tea leaves to find out how state and federal tax code changes will alter their withholding calculations.

For Georgia, thankfully, the basic tax rate tables will remain in effect. The rates will range as follows:

  • 0.025% to 2.110% for positive reserve account employers
  • 2.15% to 5.4% for negative reserve account employers
  • A 0.08% administrative assessment tax is payable in 2016, but certain employers are exempt.

If tax time and payroll make your head spin, you’re not alone. Many employers are turning their HR tasks to Human Resource Organizations (HRO). An HRO company like EinsteinHR can help you with hiring, firing, payroll, human resources, and employee benefits at your organization. Not only that, but a PEO company can also help you secure better rates for worker’s compensation insurance and employee health insurance as well.
